Common questions
How does the Schengen 90/180 rule work?
You can spend up to 90 days in any 180-day period in the Schengen Area. On every day you are inside, look back over the 180 days ending that day: if they hold more than 90 Schengen days, you are over the limit. All Schengen countries share one count, and the days you arrive and leave both count as full days.
Is SchengenZen free?
Yes. Counting your days is free: your days left, the 180-day window, the calendar, every past trip and one planned trip. Premium adds automatic tracking, your exact latest exit date, unlimited planned trips, the trip planner, alerts before day 90, several people and your full history rebuilt from photos.
How do I add, change or delete a trip?
Tap + in Calendar, Trips or Home, or tap an empty day in the calendar. Tap the first day, then the last day, then choose the country. Tap a trip to edit it; long-press it in Trips to delete it.
What does the number under each date mean?
By default it is the days you would have left on that date. In You → Calendar you can switch it to the longest stay you could start that day (Premium), or to the days used. Long-press a date and open Day details to see which trips make up its number.
Will I lose my trips if I change phone?
No. Turn on iCloud Sync in You → Data and your trips follow your Apple ID. You can also save a backup file with Back up to Files and restore it on any iPhone.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
Cancel any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SchengenZen. On a new iPhone, open the Premium screen and tap Restore. Your purchase belongs to your Apple ID.
Automatic tracking missed some days. What should I do?
Make sure location access is set to Always and Precise Location is on (iPhone Settings → SchengenZen → Location). If your phone was off for a while, add the missing days in seconds from the calendar.
